A seven-year-girl was allegedly molested by a man who sneaked inside her house on the pretext of washing a piece of cloth when her parents were away. The incident took place at 4 pm in Kandivli underu00a0the jurisdiction of Samta Nagar Police station.

According to the locals, the accused, Nurol Islam Muktar Alam Shaikh (24), was known to the victim. “Shaikh asked the victim to wash a napkin following which he sneaked inside the house slyly and locked the door from inside. The incident took place at around 4 pm in Kandivli when the girl’s parents were not at home,” said Naveen Singh, a neighbour of the survivor.
