<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/MBMC-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mira-Bhayander</a> circle on Wednesday reported as many as 216 new <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-records-112-new-covid-19-cases-active-tally-at-845-23246869" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">coronavirus</a> cases. The total number of cumulative positive patients in the twin city now stands at 71,955.
The death toll remained unchanged at 1,407, according to Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC).
As per the civic body, the cumulative recovered patients in MBMC circle stands at 70,513, including 11 during the day, leaving Mira Bhayander with an active caseload of 28.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra recorded 640 Covid-19 cases and five deaths on Wednesday, which took its overall caseload to 81,17,024 and death toll to 1,48,319, the state health department said in its bulletin.
The Mumbai circle reported the highest 224 new cases, followed by Pune circle (219), Nagpur circle (52), Nashik circle (36), Latur circle (34), Kolhapur (29), Akola circle (28) and Aurangabad circle (18).
