The Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3 spans 33.5 km between Colaba and SEEPZ. Once fully operational, the line is expected to serve an estimated 1.7 million passengers daily. The pathway between the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) subway at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and the under-construction Aqua Line 3 Metro CSMT station is now visible, as preparations begin for the final opening of the Metro Line 3 corridor, which is expected by December 2025.

“The Mumbai CSMT Metro station is located across the road from the BMC headquarters at Azad Maidan, and it is being directly linked to the existing Mumbai CSMT railway station through the BMC underpass.

“A pathway from the new CSMT Metro station leads directly to the existing BMC subway, offering seamless underground connectivity. This is one of the multiple entry and exit points of the station and will provide direct access to the main pedestrian subway under BMC,” an official said. The Aqua Metro Line 3 is currently operational between Aarey-JVLR, Worli, and Acharya Atre Chowk.
