Mid Day photographer Shadab Khan has won the second prize in the Spot News category of the Media Foundation of India's National Photo Contest 2011. Khan's photo of an abandoned 3 month-old foetus at Mahim Church junction at 1.30 am on April 13, 2010 was selected by the non-profit trust for the award last month. <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2011/mar/Shadab-Khan.jpg" border="5" /> Shadab Khan <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2011/mar/child1.jpg" border="5" /> The foetus, which was spotted by two children who saw it being thrown out of a speeding car at Mahim, had its legs broken after it was hurled out. Mid Day reporter Kranti Vibhute had reported the incident when it occurred.
