Four persons died due to rain related diseases since Sunday taking the total toll of monsoon-related ailments to 40 this month in the city.

A 37-year-old man from Powai and another 14-year-old teenager from Tardeo died due to leptospirosis within a few hours of their admission, civic officials said.

Another 30-year-old woman from Jogeshwari died due to malaria and a 26-year-old man from Zaveri Bazar died due to fever, they added.
