In Mumbai, a Government Railway Police (GRP) case has been filed against three individuals, including a woman after a Central Railway employee ended his life due to falling victim to an online "sextortion" scheme, the police reported on Wednesday.

According to a report in PTI, the trio has been charged with extortion and abetment of suicide under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the IT Act, two days after the 36-year-old railway employee ended his life by leaping in front of a moving train at Matunga in Central Mumbai, an official stated.
