Mumbai: Ahead of Diwali, FDA seizes 400 kg adulterated ghee worth Rs 3 lakh

According to the FDA officials, ahead of the Diwali festival, the Mumbai region of the FDA has been vigilant about the food quality used and sold in the market and has taken action against manufacturers for violating the quality under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006

Maharashtra’s Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) officials seized adulterated ghee which was being sold in substandard quality from a godown at Masjid Bandar. The stock worth Rs three lakh was seized during a raid at the godown in the Chinchbandar area, Masjid Bandar.

According to the FDA officials, ahead of the Diwali festival, the Mumbai region of the FDA has been vigilant about the food quality used and sold in the market and has taken action against manufacturers for violating the quality under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
