Additional security has been deployed outside actor Amitabh Bachchan’s residence after Maharashtra Congress Chief’s ‘Black Flag’ call. Nana Patole had said they would protest whenever actors Akshay Kumar or Amitabh Bachchan step out of their homes or their movies are released. Police officials confirmed the development on condition of anonymity.

Patole, who has recently taken charge as Maharashtra’s Congress Chief, had slammed Bachchan and Kumar for their silence over the fuel price rise. He had also questioned why the actors didn’t speak on issues related to the common man, while they were vocal about the same during the Congress regime. Considering the threat, Mumbai Police beefed up security at both of Bachchan’s residences in Juhu. “A police van along with two officers have been deployed at the house,” said a senior officer on condition of anonymity.
