Mumbai: Art director Nitin Desai's initial postmortem reveals 'death due to hanging'

The postmortem of art director Nitin Desai was conducted on Wednesday night by an expert panel consisting of four doctors. As per preliminary findings, the cause of death is due to hanging. However, viscera and blood samples have been kept reserved for further analysis. As per the request of family members, the body has been kept at the mortuary. 


Nitin Desai was found dead on Wednesday morning at his ND Studio, Karjat. After Forensic analysis, inquest panchnama the body was sent to JJ Hospital for postmortem. A four-doctor expert panel performed postmortem which gave the cause of death as 'asphyxia due to hanging. Samples of blood and viscera have been reserved for further analysis.'


The mortal remains of Nitin Desai have been kept in the mortuary of JJ Hospital Hospital, as per the request of family members. Desai’s one son is in the USA and the family will wait for him to return. Desai in his voice messages has expressed his wish to cremate inside ND studio.
