Fans gather at Pepsi ground and Poisur Gymkhana to watch live-streaming

To celebrate the World Cup 2023 final match between India and Australia, a politician organised a live-streaming event at a public ground, recreating a stadium-like atmosphere. Free popcorn, tattoo artists, and water facilities were provided at no cost to the attendees.


Over 5,000 fans congregated at Poisur Gymkhana in Kandivali and Pepsi ground in Gorai to witness the live match. At Poisur Gymkhana, one enthusiast said, “We’re having a fantastic time at Poisur Gymkhana watching the India vs Australia World Cup final. The arrangements are excellent, and India’s bowling performance is impressive. India will surely win the World Cup.”



Another attendee, Jay Gala, said, “I brought my family to Poisur ground to experience the live match. It’s a unique experience to watch the game with thousands of people on the ground and enjoy the live-streaming. We had a great time.”

A group of supporters mentioned, “We left our office early to support the Indian team, and we’re delighted to be here. India will win the match. Complimentary popcorn, tattoos, and water facilities are available on the ground, and we’re enjoying every minute of it.”

At Poisur ground, where more than 5,000 people gathered to watch the live India vs Australia match, MP Gopal Shetty ensured the arrangements were in place.

Regarding the Gorai Pepsi Ground, Shiva Shetty, former corporator said to mid-day, “We organised a live streaming event for the local community to celebrate the World Cup final match. We set up 1000 chairs at the ground to give people a true stadium-like experience.”

A fan at Pepsi ground exclaimed, “We’re thoroughly enjoying watching the live match at Pepsi Ground today. Our group of five came here after work, and even though we arrived during the second inning, we’re still loving the match. We hope India will emerge victorious.”
