Blue Line 1 of the Versova-Ghatkopar Metro has witnessed an increase of about 15,000 passengers per day compared to the previous week. This comes in the wake of the operation of new Metro lines. For the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic, Blue Line 1 has crossed the 4-lakh daily passenger mark.

Of the two new lines, Red Line 7 starts from Gundavli on the Western Express Highway, reaches Dahisar to take a turn and returns to DN Nagar station on Link Road in Andheri West on the Yellow Line 2A. The lines meet Blue Line 1 in Andheri at the DN Nagar and Western Express Highway stations.
