A buffalo was rescued after its horn got stuck in a wire of an electric pole on 90-foot road in Virar (East) on Thursday afternoon, said fire brigade officials of Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC).

The incident occurred outside Deshmukh Farm at 90- foot road in Virar.
Several buffaloes were roaming in the search of food, meantime one of the bovines started rubbing its horn on an electric pole and got stuck between the wires. It was struggling to cut loose, some passers-by saw this and informed the fire brigade.
The VVMC fire brigade officials rushed to the spot and safely removed the wire from the buffalo’s horn.
