Mumbai bus accident: Police arrest tempo driver in fatal Dadar bus stop accident

The driver of the Tempo Traveller involved in Sunday night’s fatal crash at Veer Kotwal Udyan in Dadar has been arrested by Shivaji Park Police. Identified as Sanjay Dhondu Kumbhar (27), he faces charges of negligent and rash driving under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

A fatal accident occurred late on October 5, around 11:15 PM at Veer Kotwal Udyan in Dadar, when a Tempo Traveller (MH-46-CL-8766), allegedly driven rashly, collided head-on with a BEST bus (MH-01-DR-4654) operating on Route 169 toward Pratiksha Nagar Depot.
