Mumbai: Car bonnet stunt duo nabbed after midnight drive at Carter Road

The Khar police have arrested two youths for dangerously driving a car while filming a stunt video at Carter Road. The video, which went viral on social media, showed one of the accused sitting on the moving vehicle`s bonnet posing a serious risk to public safety.

The incident took place around 12.27 am on June 7 and came to the police`s attention after the video was posted on the ‘Bandra Buzz’ handle on X. Following verification, the Khar police initiated an investigation.

Based on CCTV footage, the police identified and apprehended the accused, Mohammad Altaf Abdul Salam Shaikh, 22, a professional driver residing at Ratna Tower near Rehman Restaurant, Shahu Nagar, Dharavi and Gulam Qadir Ali Syed, 21, a resident of MK Lal Chawl on Jasmine Road, Dharavi.
