The Mumbai division of Central Railway on Friday said that it will operate mega block on August 27 on its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works on August 27.


In a statement, the Central Railway also shared the details and timings of the mega block. The Central Railway said that it will operate mega block on the Thane-Kalyan Up and Down fast lines from 10.40 am to 3.40 pm.
 
It said, the Down fast / semi-fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai from 09.30 am to 2.45 pm will be diverted on Down slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations halting at Kalva, Mumbra and Diva stations in addition to their respective halts and will arrive destination 10 minutes later than their schedule arrival.
 
Up fast/semi-fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.28 am to 03.25 pm will be diverted on UP slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations halting at Diva, Mumbra and Kalva stations in addition to their respective halts and further re-diverted on UP fast line at Mulund station and  will arrive destination 10 minutes later than their schedule arrival.


Down Mail/Express trains leaving CSMT / Dadar will be diverted on 5th line between Thane and Kalyan stations.


Up Mail/Express trains arriving CSMT / Dadar will be diverted on 6th  line between Kalyan and Thane/ Vikhroli stations.

Panvel- Vashi UP and DN harbour lines ( including BSU line between Nerul and Kile and Trans-harbour line between Turbhe and Nerul) from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm.

Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel from 10.33 am to 03.49 pm and Down Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 09.45 am to 03.12 pm will remain suspended.
 
Up Transharbour line services towards Thane leaving Panvel from 11.02 am to 03.53 pm and DN Transharbour line services towards Panvel leaving Thane from 10.01 am to 03.20 pm will remain suspended.

Up Transharbour line services towards Thane leaving Nerul from 10.50 am to 04.09 pm and DN Transharbour line services towards Nerul leaving Thane from 10.55 am to 04.33 pm will remain suspended.
 
Down line services for Kharkopar leaving Nerul from 11.40 am to 03.45 pm and UP line services for Nerul leaving Kharkopar from 10.25 am to 02.25 pm will remain cancelled.

Local train services between Belapur and Kharkopar will run as per schedule during the block period.
 
Special local trains will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period.
 
Trans-harbour line services will be available between Thane-Vashi stations during the block period.

BSU line services between Nerul to Kharkopar and between Belapur to Kharkopar will remain suspended during the block period.
           
"These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused," the Central Railway said.
