Western Railway’s Mumbai Central Division achieved a record 40 crore revenue from ticket checking between April–August 2025, marking a 30 perc growth over last year. Over 4.5 lakh ticketless travellers were fined, with top performers and a Special Ladies Ticket Checking Squad contributing significantly.

Western Railway’s Mumbai Central Division has marked a new benchmark in ticket-checking performance during the current financial year. The Mumbai division of the Central Railways has not only surpassed previous records but also registered the highest-ever earnings in ticket checking between April 2025 and August 2025.
In recognition of their dedication and outstanding service, the Divisional Railway Manager of the Mumbai Central Division, Pankaj Singh, felicitated 36 ticket-checking staff members for their exceptional performance.
