Mumbai: Centre’s nod awaited for 30 private hospitals as vaccination units

According to available data, eight adverse effects of vaccines were reported on Wednesday, of which five were related to Covishield and three to Covaxin.

In a bid to boost Mumbai’s vaccination drive, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) awaits the central government’s nod to allow another 30 private hospitals operate as inoculation centres. Currently, 228 units at 91 centres are actively administering vaccines to citizens. A total of 72,8613 people have received vaccine shots till now, of which 92,292 have been fully vaccinated with both the shots.

According to available data, eight adverse effects of vaccines were reported on Wednesday, of which five were related to Covishield and three to Covaxin. A total of 34,337 doses of Covishield and 4,032 of Covaxin were administered on Wednesday.
