Chheda Nagar subway to be demolished: The Mumbai Traffic Police on Thursday issued a traffic notification and said that the Chheda Nagar subway in Vikhroli area of Mumbai will be demolished to decongest the traffic for motorists in the area.

In a traffic notification, the Mumbai Traffic Police said that the Chheda Nagar subway on the north bound under the Vikhroli Traffic Division will be
demolished to solve traffic congestion at Chheda Nagar subway.
It said that the barricading will be done for one-way traffic at the spot. Therefore, all types of vehicular traffic from Pestam Sagar, Chembur as well
as Pantnagar, Ghatkopar East area, Vallabha Bagh Lane, Pushpavihar Road, Kumar Ahuja Marg and Viraj Hotel Nath Pai Lane to Chhedanagar Subway shall be completely closed.
The Mumbai Traffic Police, in the traffic notification also shared the following details of the road closure and alternate routes.
Road Closure
The road towards Chhedanagar subway via Vidya Bhavan Junction (traffic coming from Pestam Sagar Road, Vallabh Bagh Lane, Pushpavihar Road, Kumar Ahuja Marg and Viraj Hotel, Nath Pai Lane) coming towards Chheda Nagar subway will be completely closed for traffic.
Alternate Route
1) Traffic from Pestam Sagar, Chembur via Vidyabhavan Junction, shall use Near Hotel Pushpavihar Junction Shanti Path route Sudha Park Road- Railway Quarters Road- Samata Colony Road- Railway Police Petrol Pump- Further to Thane will use Ghatkopar Bridge and Ramabai Nagar- Kamraj Nagar - Take a right turn under Ghatkopar Bridge to reach Chheda Nagar Junction and proceed on Eastern Expressway.
2) Traffic from Vallabh Baug Lane, Hotel Pushpavihar, Kumar Ahuja Marg and Viraj Hotel Nath Pai Lane take left turn and use Sudha Park Road- Railway Quarters Road- Samata Colony Road- Railway Police Petrol Pump- Further to Thane will use Ghatkopar Bridge and Ramabai Nagar-Kamraj Nagar- Take a right turn under Ghatkopar Bridge to reach Chheda Nagar Junction and proceed on to the Eastern Expressway.
3) Traffic from Mata Ramabai Nagar, Kamraj Nagar to Chedanagar subway shall go straight towards Chheda Nagar Junction Take a U-turn and proceed towards Ghatkopar East area, the Mumbai Traffic Police said in the traffic notification.
