Mumbai: Covid-19 cases rise significantly, TPR climbs to 1.5 per cent

Mumbai records three new fatalities; state’s daily Covid-19 infections continue to increase

Daily cases in Mumbai have been hovering around 500, and rose significantly on Wednesday. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) latest report, the city recorded 481 fresh infections, up from 425 the day before. A total of 31,638 tests were conducted throughout the day. 

The rising trend can also be witnessed in the daily figures of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), which is reporting 40 per cent of the state’s total cases.
