Mumbai's Covid-19 cases stay below 300, deaths also fall marginally

All the three deceased had comorbidities. While one of the deceased was in the age group between 40 years-60 years, the other two deceased were above 60 years of age

Mumbai’s test positivity rate (TPR) continued the downward trend as new daily cases also saw a dip along with COVID-19 fatalities. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 228 new cases were reported along with three deaths on Tuesday. The TPR was 0.78 per cent. All the three deceased had comorbidities. While one of the deceased was in the age group between 40 years-60 years, the other two deceased were above 60 years of age.

The doubling rate improved to 1,596 days on Monday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 474 people recovered and were discharged on Tuesday.  In the state, the new cases saw a significant rise as they went above 1,000 along with a rise in COVID-19 fatalities. As per the state health department report, 1,078 cases were reported along with 48 deaths across the state.
