Mumbai Covid-19 numbers fall below 1,500

Doubling rate now at 213 days; deaths continue to be on higher side

The daily figures of new Covid-19 cases fell below the 1,500 mark in Mumbai on Saturday. As per the BMC report, Mumbai recorded 1,447 new cases with 62 deaths.

Mumbai is witnessing a drop in new Covid-19 cases for the fourth consecutive day. The test positivity rate too fell below six per cent. There has been a steady fall in the test positivity rate (TPR) since May 5. “On May 5, the TPR was 10.96. This week, the TPR was below 7, and we are happy that today, it has dipped below 6 and is 5.81,” said a BMC official.
