Active cases of Covid-19 have gone up by 70 per cent in Mumbai in the last 14 days. Though cases have increased in the last two weeks, hospitalisation rates haven’t risen—as of now, only two patients are on ventilators.
As per data made available by the BMC health department, on April 15, there were 346 active cases in the city. On April 29, the cases reached up to 589. Till April 29, only 27 patients were admitted to hospitals. While two patients are on ventilators and in critical condition, the other 25 patients have mild to moderate symptoms.
