Six women and a man suffered serious burn injuries when a fire broke out at a shop after a gas cylinder leak in Mumbai's Kandivali area on Wednesday morning. Three of the persons suffered nearly 90 per cent burns, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

As per the civic body, the fire broke out at Ram Kisan Mestri Chawl, beside Akurli Maintenance Chowki, opposite ESIC Hospital on Military Road, Akurli Cross Road No.3, Kandivali East. The incident was reported to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at 9:05 AM.
