A fire near the Churchgate subway due to a short circuit led to panic for some time but was quickly doused and there were no injuries or a major incident. BMC officials said it was an electrical fire.

“The fire occurred in the BMC demarcated area. The fire has been quickly extinguished and the subway pedestrian movement normalised,” an official said.
