In an official statement, a SpiceJet spokesperson said, “On 12th September, an outer wheel of a Q400 aircraft operating from Kandla to Mumbai was found on the runway after take-off. The aircraft continued to Mumbai and landed safely. All passengers disembarked normally”

A full emergency was declared at Mumbai airport on Thursday afternoon after a SpiceJet flight from Kandla in Gujarat to city reported a missing front wheel while landing, sources said.
They said that the aircraft, flight SG 2906, a SpiceJet Q400, was en route to Mumbai with an estimated time of arrival at 15:45.
