Mumbai gets 'Vijay Udyan', a 1971 war-themed memorial park in Colaba

The park is spread over an area of 7650 Sqft and is symbolic of the resilience and tenacity of Tri-Services. The memorial park was inaugurated by Mrs Dhano Devi, wife of Late Maj (Later Colonel) Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya, Param Vir Chakra

Marking the 51st anniversary of 'Vijay Diwas', the 1971 India-Pakistan War that saw the birth of Bangladesh, the Indian defence forces on Friday inaugurated a war-themed memorial garden, 'Vijay Udyan' which is dedicated to all the brave-hearts of the 1971 war.
