A proposal submitted by Cama and Albless Hospital to open an in-vitro-fertilization (IVF) centre has been accepted by the state government.

The centre, which is the first such facility to be set up by a government-run hospital in Maharashtra, will cater to the underprivileged free of cost under the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. Cama and Albless Hospital also plans to start a fellowship in assisted reproductive technology for students in the near future.
