Mumbai: Local resident slips off Ghatkopar hill, dies

Officials say the 30-year-old man, who lived in the slum atop the hill, was picking flowers when he slipped; rescue operation last 6 hours, cops said

A 30-year-old man died after slipping from the slums while picking flowers, at Bhatwadi Hills in Ghatkopar on Sunday, officials said. The deceased, identified as Lahu Khot, got trapped in the mountain ridge located at the back of the hill. Officials said that he got stuck in the middle of the hill and it took six hours for the rescuers to remove the body from the ridge of the mountain.
