Some of the Mumbai local train services on Central Railway lines were on Tuesday evening disrupted after waterlogging on tracks as heavy rains continued in Mumbai.

The officials said that Central Railway services between CSMT-Thane and CSMT-Mankhurd remained suspended as of 5:30 pm on Tuesday due to heavy waterlogging caused by the overflowing Mithi river.

Officials reported that the Mithi River's water level reached 3.6 metres, which is about 1 metre above the danger mark. As a result, tracks at four major stations -- Kurla, Sion, Mankhurd, and Govandi -- were submerged under 16 to 17 inches of water.
