In a significant achievement for Mumbai`s Maha Mumbai Metro Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) has reached an impressive milestone in ridership numbers. From April 2, 2022, to September 24, 2023, a staggering 50,522,330 passengers have chosen the Mumbai Metro as their preferred mode of commuting, reinforcing its status as the city`s favored transportation system, an official statement said on Monday.

According to the statement, notably, the adoption of the Mumbai One Card has witnessed remarkable growth and enthusiasm among commuters. Approximately 1,49,556 individuals, representing around 40 per cent of daily passengers, have opted for this convenient payment method. This shift not only enhances commuters` convenience but also contributes to a greener environment by reducing the use of paper tickets.
