Mohamad Sahal Payak, 21, the law student who suffered serious injuries after falling off a moving bike due to a pothole, has been discharged from the hospital. After mid-day reported the incident, the authorities promptly repaired the pothole on the Western Express Highway near the Andheri flyover. Mohamad received four stitches on his head and sustained injuries to his hand. On Thursday, his parents took him to Morbi, Gujarat, for further treatment.

Speaking to mid-day, Mohamad’s father, Rajak Payak, said, “We thank mid-day for helping save lives. The authorities woke up and repaired the pothole before another accident could occur. I got my son discharged from Nanavati Hospital, and we shifted him to a hospital in Morbi. He is recovering now. He received four stitches on his head and injuries on his hand. Luckily, he survived.”
