Authority makes allocations for various infra projects in city, including the several Metro corridors

Urban Development Minister the Chairman of MMRDA Eknath Shinde chaired the 150th meeting of the authority on Tuesday and approved a budget of Rs 12,969.35 crore.
“The budget makes special provisions for infrastructure projects like public transport and Metro railway,” a press release said. An amount of Rs 250 crore has been earmarked for the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ (third corridor) of the Metro railway. The Metro rail routes 2-A from Dahisar to D N Nagar in Andheri and the corridor from Dahisar (East) to Andheri (East) are likely to begin commercial operations from this year and hence, they have been provided with an outlay of Rs 700.65 crore and Rs 999.45 crore respectively.
