The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) on Thursday evening said that a total of 1,56,456 passengers travelled on the Aarey JVLR to Cuffe Parade route of Mumbai Metro Line 3 on Thursday, October 9, officials said.

The much-anticipated Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line, kicked off on Thursday, marking a significant move in Mumbai’s local travelling landscape. With the start of Mumbai’s first underground metro, the services also witnessed a strong start on their inaugural day and grabbed significant attention from commuters across the city.Mumbai Metro Line 3, or the Aqua Line, connects key residential and commercial hubs and promises to reduce travel time and ease congestion on Mumbai’s crowded roads.
