Citizens in Kalyan bringing Ganesh idols home or at a pandal won't have to keep roaming among departments to secure permission for the festivities. Under the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation's (KDMC's) new 'one window' system, those seeking various Ganpati permits will only need to visit their local police station that now has a dedicated kiosk with officials from civic departments and cops stationed to give approvals.
