There is some good news. There are now zero containment zones in the slums or chawls in Mumbai, according to BMC’s Covid-19 dashboard. Dharavi, too, has recorded zero cases for the second consecutive day.
While the BMC has asked the citizens to remain cautious and not let their guard down, even if the numbers have been in our favour, the slums have always been cause for concern. Further, even the number of sealed buildings has reduced considerably and there are just 26 sealed buildings in the city.
