On Friday, which marks the first day of the 11-day-long Ganeshotsav, the vaccination drive will take a break. Civic officials said it is needed to plan future special drives and keep the existing ones hassle free. Public centres will reopen on Saturday.
Under the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, the BMC is conducting special sessions to cover more and more citizens. It has been holding drive-in vaccinations for senior citizens, home visits for bedridden people, setting up special immunisation centres for the LGBTQ community and special sessions for second dose.
