Currently, there are 120 vaccination centers in Mumbai, 73 of which are private.
Twitterati also expressed their concern over depleting vaccine stock in Maharashtra.
It’s safe to say the COVID vaccine shortage is not a figment of the Maharashtra government’s imagination. It’s real, it’s serious & it won’t be resolved by a war of words between people in responsible positions. https://t.co/VLVS3UH8NX

It's quite ironic that India's vaccine shortage became public knowledge on #WorldHealthDay2021

Theme of this year's World Health Day : "Building a fairer healthier world."
Pune District vaccinated 55,539 persons today in 391 vaccination centers today. Several thousand people went back without being vaccinated because the vaccines stock was exhausted...1/3

Ji to kindly help us with the COVID 19 Vaccines..3/3In my letter to Hon. Health Min, I have requested him to make vaccine accessible to all above 18 years &Maharashtra be provided adequate vaccines as it faces acute shortage. This is the NEED of the HOUR not a mere WANT. pic.twitter.com/EGlRaVOYL7

The shortages in Mumbai are real. An uncle had an appt at Bhatia & was turned away b/c they were out of stock, then at Parsi Gen same thing. A vaccine shortage will make this an even larger humanitarian disaster that it already is. Shame on our leaders for letting it get to this. https://t.co/ztiCWdaxEJ

The request still remains a need based one, a scientific one. https://t.co/p3vNFqqKmn

Very insensitive of Central govt to starve Maharashtra of life-saving vaccines in a difficult time like this! With cases rising at an astonishing rate, @OfficeofUT govt is doing its best to control the spread and save lives in the State.
