While Western Railway services remained unaffected by waterlogging on Monday morning, Central Railway’s harbour line reported delays due to technical issues near Chembur.

“On the Harbour line between Kurla and Tilak Nagar, track points have been clamped and trains are running late by 8–10 minutes. On the main line, there has been a delay of 6–8 minutes, but there is no suspension of service anywhere so far,” Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, told Mid-Day.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a 10.00 am update forecasting extremely heavy rainfall across Mumbai over the next three to four hours.
