Mumbai records 118 new Covid-19 cases; 85 per cent asymptomatic

The toll remained unchanged at 19,738, while the count of recoveries reached 11,32,742 after 167 patients recovered from the infection during the day

Mumbai on Sunday recorded 118 new cases of Coronavirus, but there were no fatalities because of the respiratory illness, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation update. The city has a total 11,53,417 COVID-19 cases. 

There has been a slight drop in the daily cases, as the BMC reported 146 infections on Saturday. Eighty five per cent of the patients detected with COVID-19 on Sunday were asymptomatic. Only 18 patients had to be hospitalised, and eight of them are on oxygen support, according to the BMC update.
