Mumbai rain: Retaining wall of Covid-19 quarantine facility in Powai collapses

In another incident, the approach road of a bridge on the Saki Vihar road connecting to Marvah road in Andheri (East) also caved in and the bridge was shut for vehicular movement

Monsoon continues to wreak havoc in the city as two cave-in incidents occurred at BMC’s L ward area on Friday. Firstly, the retaining wall of the Covid-19 quarantine and isolation facility at Powai collapsed and the open space in the premise too sunk in. Also, the approach road of a bridge on the Saki Vihar road connecting to Marvah road in Andheri (East) also caved in and the bridge was shut for vehicular movement.

No casualties or injuries were reported in both incidents.
