Mumbai’s Covid-19 cases fall below 400 again, fatalities see a rise

Mumbai saw a significant dip in new Covid-19 cases on Monday at less than 400. The test positivity rate remained the same as Sunday. However, the Covid-19 fatalities saw a marginal rise. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 377 new cases were reported on Monday along with seven deaths.

The TPR was 1.22%. Mumbai’s TPR dipped below 1%, a first in the second wave on July 29. On August 19, the city recorded the second wave’s lowest TPR at 0.53% after which the graph has been gradually going up. The doubling rate dipped and was at 1,189 days on Monday.
