A 45-year-old Kanjurmarg-based schoolteacher has alleged that she was cheated of Rs 8 lakh after being lured with the promise of an MMRDA flat in Vikhroli. The complainant, who lives with her 22-year-old son, had been searching for a house when she came in contact with the accused.
According to the police, one of the accused, Sunit Natkar, who was known to the complainant, introduced two men — Govinda Chittadhikari and Mustaq Jilani Shaikh — as property facilitators claiming to have links within government offices.
