Mumbai sees a major dip in daily Covid-19 cases

Maharashtra, too, sees significant drop in new Covid cases at 3,626

After recording a rise in daily Covid infections on Sunday, the city saw a significant drop on Monday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, the city registered 379 new cases. However, the test positivity rate (TPR) increased to 1.20 per cent, the highest in the past one month.

Mumbai reported five deaths on Monday. Four had comorbidities, two were above the age of 60 years and three were between 40 and 60 years. The doubling rate continued to decrease and was 1,290 days on Monday.
