Mumbai sees an increase in new Covid-19 cases

The doubling rate rose and was 2,572 days on Thursday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 201 people recovered and were discharged on Thursday

The number of cases in the city seem to be rising after the number of tests was increased. On Thursday, 279 new Covid-19 cases were detected after 42,524 tests were conducted. There were two deaths. The state registered 877 cases and 19 deaths. There was no new patient of the Omicron variant in the state on Thursday. 

The cases rose from 238 on Wednesday with a Test Positivity Rate of 0.66 per cent. The city had reported zero deaths on Wednesday for the third time since the beginning of the pandemic. Both the deceased were above 60 years. The doubling rate rose and was 2,572 days on Thursday.
