The father Imran Malak, who runs a business of second-hand sale and services in Vasai, approached the Manikpur police station and registered an FIR against unknown revellers.
“I was riding my scooter and my daughter was standing on the vehicle between my legs. My wife was seated behind a 1.5-year-old infant in her lap. We were heading to Vasai Gaon; it was around 11 pm on Wednesday when the incident took place. I am not sure if anyone threw the firecrackers on us or I accidentally reached the spot, where the revellers were enjoying on road, but my daughter faced burn injuries along her leg,” Malak told mid-day.

“I would have also faced burn injuries had I not put on my shoes but my shocks got burnt in the incident. Somehow, I did not lose the balance, else it could have been a major accident on road,” he recalled.
