Mumbai: One dead, 11 injured after slab collapses at garment factory in Chembur

According to an eye-witness, the incident occurred at around 2.45pm. A slab of a ground plus one factory located near Chembur camp suddenly collapsed leaving atleast a dozen workers injured

In a tragic incident on Thursday, one worker died and 11 others were injured after a slab collapsed on them in a  Chembur-based garment factory. The injured were rushed to Inlaks hospital. Out of those injured in the incident, 2 workers have sustained grievous injuries. Following the incident, the Chembur police and Mumbai Fire Brigade official rushed to the spot for rescue operations. 

Out of 12 injured 10 were admitted to hospital, a 22-year-old Murari Jha succumbed to injuries, he sustained deep injuries on his scalp. While the condition of 9 workers is stable, 2 were discharged after treatment.
