St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, set the stage for its flagship intercollegiate festival Malhar 2025 with the much-awaited pre-event Malhar by the Bay, held on August 5 at antiSOCIAL, Lower Parel. The evening, attended by around 300 people, offered a vibrant mix of music, movement, and artistic expression, leaving audiences spellbound.

In its latest edition, Malhar by the Bay upheld the tradition of showcasing the cultural richness and creative flair synonymous with the festival. This year’s programme featured an eclectic lineup of guest artists, student-led duets, live bands, and even a surprise flash mob, creating an immersive celebration of rhythm and performance.

Organised in collaboration with JioSaavn, supported by Furtados, and with Sammmm as the title sponsor of Malhar 2025, the event’s standout moment came from four guest performers from Universal Music India — Utsavi Jha, Samad Khan, Bharath, and Mohammad Faiz — whose dynamic sets drew thunderous applause.
