Mumbai: Three workers of Western Railway die in a train accident

The employees were identified as Vasu Mitra (Chief Signalling Inspector), Somnath Uttam Lambutre (Electrical Signalling Maintainer) and Sachin Wankhede (Helper). all of whom work for the Signalling Department of the Mumbai Division.

Three Western Railway Signalling department employees were killed in a train accident in Vasai on Monday night. According to railway officials, the three employees went to examine track failure at Vasai when a running train crushed them, killing them all on the spot.

The employees were identified as Vasu Mitra (Chief Signalling Inspector at Bhayander), Somnath Uttam Lambutre (Electrical Signalling Maintainer at Vasai Road) and Sachin Wankhede (Helper). The deceased were attached to WR`s Mumbai Division Signalling Department.
