In a major step toward advancing research and skill development in cutting-edge technologies, the University of Mumbai is set to inaugurate its Centre of Excellence in Robotics and Automation at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in Kalyan on Thursday, July 10.
The state-of-the-art facility, spread across approximately 45,000 sq. ft, has been established in collaboration with Zenyutek Industries, a leading firm in the robotics sector. It will function as a hub for research, development, and training in robotics, artificial intelligence, and industrial automation.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM and will be graced by Prof. Rajnish Kamat, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, as the Chief Guest. Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni, Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai University, will preside over the function. Several dignitaries, including Thane District Collector Ashok Shingare, Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Commissioner Abhinav Goyal, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ajay Bhamre, and Registrar Dr. Prasad Karande, are expected to attend.
