<p>Mumbai traffic police issued new traffic restrictions ahead of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-lake-levels-in-seven-reservoirs-that-supply-water-to-the-city-at-22-26-per-cent-23362740" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Aashadi Ekadashi</a>. As devotees gather at Wadala's Vitthal Mandir in large numbers, several routes in Wadala and Dadar will be closed on July 16 to July 18.</p>
<p>The traffic regulations will be in place from July 16 at 7 pm till 8 am on July 18. The following roads will be closed and declared &lsquo;No Entry&rsquo; during the said time period:</p>
<p>Dadar T.T. to Tilak Road and the junction of Katrak Road will be closed. The traffic will be diverted to Dr BA Road, on its northbound via Ruia College junction.</p>
<p>According to the notification, both north and south bound roads of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-best-now-owns-just-over-1000-buses-23362648" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Mancherji Joshi Road</a> and Jam-e-Jamshedji Road along with the junction of these roads till Five-Garden and Junction of Tilak Road will be closed.</p>
<p>The south and north bound of Katrak Road to <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-weather-update-city-suburbs-to-see-intermittent-moderate-showers-23362746" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Devid Baretto</a> Circle, and Junction of GD Ambedkar Marg, Tilak Road will be closed. G.D Ambedkar Marg coming from Sarfare Chowk i.e. junction of G.D Ambedkar Marg and Naigaon Cross Road (MMGS Marg) towards Katrak Road will be closed.</p>
<p>Tilak Road extension from Sahkar Nagar Galli towards Katrak Road (east to west) will be closed.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Parsi Colony Road numbers 13 and 14, along with the junction of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/live-blog/mumbai-news-live-updates-eknath-shinde-mumbai-devendra-fadnavis-bmc-thane-covid-mumbai-crime-maharashtra-coastal-road-monsoon-mumbai-rains-18331061" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Lady Jehangir Road</a> and the junction of Katrak Road will also be closed. Dinshaw Road and Junction of Mancherji Joshi Marg and Katrak Road will be closed, the traffic police notification said.</p>
<p><strong>Mumbai: Lake levels in seven reservoirs that supply water to the city at 22.26 per cent</strong></p>
<p>In the absence of extended periods of intense rain, the water level in the lakes that supply the city with water has only increased by a few inches. The combined lake levels of Mumbai's seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to the city are now at 22.26 per cent.</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-lake-levels-in-seven-reservoirs-at-18-73-per-cent-23361783" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)</a> data, on Wednesday, the collective lake levels or water stock in the seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to Mumbai is now at 3,22,143 million litres of water or 22.26 per cent. The water level at the same time in 2023 and 2022 was at 26.43 per cent and 40.32 per cent respectively.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Mumbai draws water from Tulsi, Tansa, Vihar, Bhatsa, Modak Sagar, Upper Vaitarna, and Middle Vaitarna.</p>
<p>As per the data shared by the civic body, the water level in Tansa is at 45.57 per cent. At Modak-Sagar, 37.73 per cent of water stock is available. In Middle Vaitarna 22.15 per cent, Upper Vaitarna 0 per cent, Bhatsa 20.70 per cent, Vehar 40.96 per cent and Tulsi 58.59 per cent of useful water level is available.</p>
